Application Guidelines

Postby Tolrin » Wed Mar 04, 2009 9:54 pm

When Applying, State in the title of your thread if you are applying for [Classic] or [Renewal] Valkyrie

CLASSIC UPDATE: For classic server we are mostly looking for exceptional recruits who are already geared and ready for WoE which is currently between 1 and 3 pm PST on Saturdays. Specifically we are looking more for high priests and minstrels. Also, due to quickly changing roster and frequent inactivity on the classic server, if your character is kicked from guild after acceptance it is likely just for space reasons, if we are actually kicking someone from guild we would inform them directly. If you fail to read this thread and fail to post according to the suggested guidelines your application will be ignored.

Valkyrie guild is currently recruiting openly. This forum is for all those interested in becoming a part of our guild. In order to apply, post a thread with your character/user/nick name as the title.

Members of Valkyrie guild range in both skill and experience. Our players include veterans of RO dating back to open beta and earlier, and those new to the game since the iRO valkyrie server opened. Our members, despite their differences in background and experience share a few common traits: a desire to improve ourselves, a strong enjoyment of competition, especially in the form of PvP, and often a somewhat crude sense of humor.

The classic server's guild is primarily organized around ventrilo, with the renewal server's guild organized around teamspeak. Our members use ventrilo/teamspeak almost all the time while they are online, and this is where most of our guild parties and mvp runs are organized. Although most players fit in best if they have a mic, simply being on vent, listening, and actively communicating in other ways will usually help you get to know everyone and fit in.

Although this should go without saying, we are primarily recruiting people that will be online actively, and show up for the majority of WoEs. We understand that not everyone will make it for every war, and in cases where a member cannot be online, simply letting someone know what is going on is sufficient, but if you can't make more than half of all wars consistently, don't expect to get much consideration.

Application threads should contain the following for consideration by current guild members; feel free to use the following as a template if you desire.

Name/character names/nick name/etc: Tolrin

Brief background on RO experience (add which guild you left and why): Started playing in closed beta on iRO Chaos, primarily played assassin and knight. Played seriously on iRO loki from episode 4 to episode 11 in a WoE guild (XGMR), primarily experienced playing assassin cross, sniper, and high priest, but familiar with all classes and most game mechanics. Regained interest in RO when valkyrie server opened, and made a champ.

iRO Valkyrie history and characters/levels: Began playing on iRO valkyrie on opening day, hunted for an emperium and helped to create Valkyrie guild in the first couple of weeks. Currently have a level 121 warlock ( from 99/70 high wiz), and some mid leveled characters including alchemist, crusader, wizard, and rogue.

Available pvp equips: beret, cranial valk shield, immune/noxious garment, Fire armor, 2x kingbird carga.

Timezone: EST (-5 GMT)

WoE availability: 99% available, online 1 or more hours before both wars.

Ventrilo[Classic]/Teamspeak[Renewal] (add if you have /don't have a mic): Active ventrilo user, fairly loud.

Level of english (and other languages): Fluent.

Why would you want to join Valkyrie: Helped found the guild.

Feel free to leave additional comments: None

Thank you for reading.

One thing to realize when applying is that we likely wont accept you if you're low level. You can get to level 99 in a day or two even with minimal gear and third class in less than a week. Also, if you do apply and you don't follow these guidelines or are not something/someone that could help compete in a "high leveled" woe scene, expect to be trolled.

If you posted an application here before and found it missing or deleted, it was likely archived. Simply make a new thread.
